Dementia Australia is the national peak body supporting people living with dementia, their families and carers. An estimated 446,500 Australians live with dementia, and 1.7 million people are involved in their care. Dementia is now the leading cause of death for Australians, according to the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare (AIHW), and remains a challenging and often misunderstood condition.
In 2025 Dementia Australia and ConneCTErs Australia formally joined in a partnership for the National CTE Support Group Program.
This partnership unites the two organisations to deliver support for those living with suspected or probable CTE and their carers and families and extends to connecting with key stakeholders to collaborate and share knowledge and expertise, skills and ideas, aimed at preventing CTE nationally.
